Average Sale Price for the month was $849,883, down from $1,239,793 the previous month and up 71% from $793,867 the prior year. Median Time to contract for the month was 43 days, down from 48 days the previous month, and down 14% from 50 days the prior year. Mortgage Rates Average 6.76%The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.76% this week. Aspiring buyers should remember to shop around for the best mortgage rate, getting multiple quotes can save them thousands. - The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.76% as of September 10, 2026, up from last week when it averaged 6.71%. A year ago at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 6.35%.
- The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.09%, up from last week when it averaged 6.04%. A year ago at this time, the 15-year FRM averaged 5.50%.
